Planned Giving

Bequests | Retirement Plans & IRAs (Non-Probate Assets) | Charitable Gift Annuities | Charitable Trusts | Life Insurance Policies | The 1925 Legacy Society

Thank you for generously considering the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research in your estate plans – a gift for you and a lasting legacy for your family. All supporters who help secure YIVO’s future by making planned gifts become members of the 1925 Legacy Society.

You can create a legacy gift with a provision in your will or living trust that includes a specific dollar amount, asset, or a percentage of your residuary estate. Follow this link to our Bequests page.

Assets you pass on outside of your will are called non-probate assets. They include IRAs, 401(k)s, pensions, life insurance policies, and certain bank and brokerage accounts. Ownership on these non-probate assets can transfer faster to your beneficiaries than those assets that must go through probate (i.e. real estate).

You can also set up a Charitable Gift Annuity or a Charitable Trust to support YIVO and provide a reliable income to you and/or your loved ones.

All supporters who help secure YIVO’s future with a planned gift become members of the 1925 Legacy Society.
